Antiquing in the New Year

The sister and I have been trying to make time to make another trip to Hunt & Gather for awhile and finally made it over there! They were in the middle of rearranging, so that was interesting to see that process happening. Besides that, they had many GREAT mid century pieces that I would have loved to snatch up, but I couldn't think of any great places to put them or things that they could replace at this time. But because I'm in the process of re-doing (mostly 'collecting' items items for) my living room in a more mid century style I had to share. And really, let's be honest here, mid century pieces have the GREATEST legs... (Plus I just picked up an awesome new piece of furniture for our living room that I will share later -- once it's out of the car...)

Down in the depths of the basement, I rounded a corner to spot this beauty...

Molded plywood arms. Need I say more? AND it was originally $252, but marked down to $140. If I had the space and didn't already have a serious chair problem collection, it would be in my house right now. It was also comfy... Sadly, I didn't inspect it to see if it was made by an awesome company or not.

Everyone seems to be pregnant right now, so spotting these just seemed fitting.

I wish I could remember the brand/model of this camera. It was the most expensive one I have ever seen there and it had this crazy slider system on the top. I'm guessing for determining different settings.

This guy just looked cool...

I really, really would like a not Ikea dresser in my bed room, so I'm always on the lookout for a good deal on one. This one... well, it was over $300 with a laminate top, so nope. It does have nice legs and lines though.

There was a pair of these blue velvety chairs. Cute legs, really ugly material. Again, if I didn't have a chair problem and were in need, these may have ended up going home with me with the next stop being the fabric store.

This guy was just cute... I didn't even pick him up to see how much he was. Would have looked cute in my living room...

This guy was $140? Super cute. Very basic. I wish I had a spot for it...

Here you can admire my sister snapping a photo of a beat up, old, creepy doll head on a mid century table... she has a thing for old, creepy doll parts... The table had some nice aspects to it, but I wasn't feeling it... Some of the lines are strange and the top was weird. Just cute legs.

Sadly, neither of us bought a thing. I am not sure how that even happened...
