A foggy morning.

Yesterday morning, my drive out to Wisconsin for work was extremely foggy. Just wanted to share a few photos I took in Dunn County, Wisconsin.

November Stitch Fix

A couple weeks ago, I stumbled across a blog post about Stitch Fix (which I totally didn't save...). The short of it is that Stitch Fix is a company that puts together some clothes for you and send them to your home, you can pick what you want to keep and send back the rest.

Last week, I got my first package! The company is currently in it's beta phase, so you let them know you're interested and when they have a slot for you, you get an email. You then fill out a survey/questionaire about your sizes, likes, dislikes, etc. so that they can have a better understanding of what they should send you. Each "fix" costs $20... That goes towards the styling and shipping. If you keep anything, that $20 goes towards the cost of the clothes, otherwise you lose it.

My first fix had some sweet things...
1. Tulle Griffith Long Open Stripe Cardigan
2. DownEast Bernardus Belted Sweater Tunic
3. Sanctuary Rizzo Skinny Ponte Pants
4. Umgee Maquarie Plaid Button Up Shirtdress
5. Luxe Long Multi Coin Chain Necklace (not pictured)

My reviews:

1. I really loved the fit and style of this, but I couldn't get over the stripes. I have a thing against stripes and no matter how much I wanted to keep it, I knew I would never wear it because of the stripes.

2. This was what I was most excited about! See close up below. Sadly, it was too big. I always ride the line between medium and large for tops and this being a large, was just too big. I think if it had fit, it would have been really cute, but the extra fabric all around made the fit no good on my body.

3. These pants maybe cost more than I would normally ever spend on pants, so right away I was in the mind set that I couldn't keep them... They were ok. Having muscular, curvy legs (read giant calves that don't allow me to wear all the cute boots everyone is sporting) these were tight. I also already have a pair of black skinny pants...

4. This shirtdress is something I would never ever in a lifetime try on or even think about trying on. And I LOVED it. It is now mine. :) It fits perfect and accentuates my waist. I just need to find a sweater that looks cute with it so I can wear it now!

5. The necklace was cute, but I don't really wear necklaces...

A great thing about Stitch Fix is they also put a card with every piece that helps to give you a couple ideas of what you could wear the garment with.  While helpful, it makes me feel the need to go shopping for the cute stuff pictured.

The only thing I was worried about was that you need to ship back the unwanted items within 3 days of receiving them. But I found out that they make that part SUPER easy! All you have to do is throw the clothes into a USPS bag that's provided with a postage paid label already attached. Then, you just throw it in the mail. Easy!

Also, if you end up purchasing everything they send, you get 25% off. While this could be trouble, I can't wait for my next fix!

Pembroke Welsh Corgi

I found this in a book at work the other day...

It's funny to think of having to actually groom Behr. He gets brushed *sometimes* and his nails trimmed when they get long, but really he's so low maintenance that I never thought he would require an entire page.

I think my favorite part might be that "a bath every three to four months should be sufficient." Behr gets one, sometimes two, a year depending on when and/if he rolls in something nasty.

Anyways, this came straight out of this fantastic book: The All Breed Dog Grooming Guide circa 1984

Behr the Hotdog

Behr was  hotdog for Halloween last night. The kids always get a kick out of it...
